Joint Physiotherapy exists in order to provide comprehensive proactive and reactive orthopedic rehabilitation. Joint Physiotherapy believes in convenient and efficient rehabilitation that not only strives to prevent injury from occurring, but also returns clients to their previous level of activity in a timely manner following injury. By providing evidence based Physiotherapy services in a well rounded clinic setting, we offer clients a rehabilitation program individualized to their needs that allows them to improve their functional capacity.

Laura O’Brien is a Registered Physiotherapist and a member of the Ontario and Canadian Physiotherapy Associations. Laura attended Brock University for her Bachelor of Physical Education Honours Kinesiology degree prior to attaining her Masters of Physiotherapy degree at the University of Western Ontario.
Laura has completed a Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy and is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT). She provides mentorship through the national Orthopedic Division to Physiotherapists wishing to progress their skills and clinical reasoning.
Laura has practiced in both the public and private sectors of physiotherapy. She has received special recognition by both the Pediatric Division of the CPA and the Saugeen Track and Field Club for her work with the associated clientele.

Joy Russell is our Office Administrator. The many years of experience she brings to our clinic include time spent as a Nursing Unit Secretary at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, 6 years as Practice Administrator of Kitchener Waterloo Midwifery Associates, Receptionist at Elgin Lodge, and contractual work in a private clinic setting.
Joy's welcoming smile will greet you when you first enter our clinic, and she will be happy to work with you arranging appointments, sorting through insurance issues, and addressing any billing issues you may have.

Kate Mahood-Richards is a valuable member of the Joint Physiotherapy team fulfilling a variety of roles. Depending on the day, she may be found at the front desk as Receptionist or in the clinic rooms and gym as a Physiotherapy Assistant.
Prior to joining our team, Kate obtained her Recreation Leadership Diploma from Conestoga College and has enjoyed countless hours of volunteer work for local minor sports and her three children’s schools.

Theresa Knight is a Registered Kinesiologist and a member of the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario. She graduated with her Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from McMaster University in 2003. While in school, Theresa became a Certified Fitness Instructor Specialist and taught a wide variety of group fitness classes.
Theresa has worked as a Kinesiologist in a clinical setting since 2004 and specializes in adapting clients’ exercise programs to meet their individual needs.

Sarah Filsinger is a Registered Physiotherapist and a member of the Ontario and Canadian Physiotherapy Associations. She attained both her Bachelor of Arts Honors with Honors Specialization in Kinesiology degree and her Masters of Physiotherapy degree from the University of Western Ontario.
Since graduation, Sarah has practiced in the private orthopedic setting.

Andrea Ferguson is a Registered Physiotherapist and a member of the Ontario and Canadian Physiotherapy Associations. She attended the University of Western Ontario where she received a Bachelor of Health Science Honours degree. Subsequently, Andrea received her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy degree at the University of Toronto.
Andrea has worked in the private orthopedic setting with extensive knowledge of the geriatric population.

Briana Lambertus is a Registered Kinesiologist and member of the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario. She graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario in 2017.
Briana has been using her passion for exercise and rehabilitation in private clinic settings since graduating.

Renee Meloche is a Registered Physiotherapist and a member of the Ontario and Canadian Physiotherapy Associations. She attained her Bachelor of Human Kinetics, Honors Movement Science degree from the University of Windsor, and her Masters of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Western Ontario, graduating at the top of her class.
Since graduation, Renee has practiced in the private orthopedic setting. She has also completed several courses in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy which allow her to treat a variety of male and female pelvic floor conditions including incontinence, pelvic pain, and pelvic organ prolapse.

Harry Mattiussi was born and raised in Saugeen Shores. Harry has had a lot of experience with physiotherapy, which ultimately guided him to complete the Occupational Therapy Assistant and Physiotherapist Assistant program at Conestoga College in 2013. He previously worked at a private sports rehabilitation clinic in Saugeen Shores for ten years. Harry has furthered his training by completing the “Introduction to Bobath Concept for the Health Care Worker” course, as well as completing a K-Taping Academy certification. With his personal exposure to physiotherapy, Harry understands what physiotherapy can accomplish and he is driven to provide the best quality of care for the client to help them proactively achieve their recovery goals.
Harry is an easy-going individual, who loves to talk about cooking and new recipes. In Harry’s free time, he enjoys woodturning on his lathe. He is excited to join the Joint Physiotherapy team.
